DESIGNING, DEVELOPING, MAKING

Our work is supported by constant research and development, a commitment towards innovation and creativity.
We make use of digital technologies such as 3D modeling, CNC machining, laser cutting and 3D printing for the development of new contemporary musical instruments.

EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE

We are ready to take on any challenge in designing and building any kind of unique new musical instruments, acoustic or hybrid electro-acoustic. We are constantly researching and developing new technologies while working with reliable fabrication suppliers.

ANY SHAPE, FORM, DESIGN

Our process starts digital and ends with a beautiful physical object. ”Born digital musical instruments” allow us to control every aspect in their construction from design, materials and testing to fabrication and assembly.

GREAT CRAFTS PEOPLE

With long lasting-relationships with our suppliers’ engineers we are there side-by-side at machine level, supported by their invaluable expertise and making sure we get the best possible components.

IN-HOUSE DESIGN

We design, develop, test and assemble all our components in-house while using our long-standing chain of suppliers who fabricate them for us with materials such as carbon fiber, laser cut spring steel, hard metals or CNC carved woods. We’ve been using Rhino 3D for many years which makes it easy to have our parts made accurately and with low turnaround times.

3D PRINTING

MAGIC FROM DUST

Having used 3D printing for more than 15 years we like to think we are pioneers in the use of 3D printed functional components in musical instruments. The technology has allowed us to create custom made musical instruments one-by-one with the same care as when we made them all by hand.

MODAL ANALYSIS

More frequently known as Finite Element Analysis (FEA), it is performed by powerful simulation software and allows us to determine the fundamental frequency and hence the pitch of a particular vibrating component.

TUNING SYSTEMS

Inspired by a solar system’s planetary orbits the acrux keys have been designed, tested and laser cut to fit a chromatic scale with three octaves, learn more about the acrux.
